Application Instructions

This application is for former NYU students requesting readmission.

You should only use this form if you have withdrawn from NYU and are seeking readmission to the university, and you have not attended another college or university since your withdrawal.

The deadlines are as follows for the New York campus*:

Fall: August 1
Spring: December 1
Summer: April 1

*Students wishing to return to the Rory Meyers College of Nursing should submit their application by June 1 for Fall, November 1 for Spring, and April 1 for Summer.

The deadlines are as follows for the Abu Dhabi and Shanghai campuses:

Fall: June 1
Spring: November 1

If you have attended another college or university since you attended NYU, you are a transfer student and must apply through the Common Application. You can learn more about transfer admissions on our website.

There is no application fee to apply for readmission.

NOTE: If you are returning from an Authorized Leave of Absence you should not file this application but instead check with the dean's office of your school/college. Students seeking readmission to CAS and Stern who have completed less than 96 credits will be considered for readmission only if they are prepared to attend as full-time, day students.

Students do not need to submit an official transcript. The admissions office will request your record from the Office of the Registrar.
