Summer at the Institute 2026

Summer at the Institute, hosted by the Institute of Fine Arts at NYU, is designed for learners at all levels with an interest in art history, providing classroom experiences that open up new avenues of exploration and introduce topics of cutting edge research in the field.

Courses are taught each summer by a group of advanced doctoral candidates at the Institute, as well as recent PhD alums and alums of the MA/MS program in Art History and Conservation. Course topics vary by offering, and are developed out of the current research of the instructor, ranging across time period, geographical region, and themes within the fields of art history, archaeology, or conservation.
