ACTIVITY TITLE: Publicity officer for AISA Green Club (recycling club)

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY, YOUR ROLE, AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS YOU OR THE GROUP HAVE HAD: The AISA Green Club finds ways to make our school more sustainable. We have started a recycling program in the school, make posters to teach younger students about recycling, and encourage students to cut down on waste. Over the past year I ran the "Say NO to Plastic" campaign in which we got the school to make re-usable water bottles for students so that we would have fewer plastic bottles to throw away. Now almost all students use the reusable bottles and every hallway has a water fountain installed. In this role I had to work with the school principal to present our idea, and manage a team of 5 volunteers who told other students about it through posters and presentations at lunch.
